Pet care experience
We have three medium size dogs in our home. One (Bo) we had watched before through Rover and the owner could not take care of him anymore - so he adopted us. Grace & Riley were from the St. Charles Humane Society. They are very friendly. We also have two children (16) who love to interact with dogs and play with them. Your dog will have plenty of love and attention while staying at our home. We live on a quiet street that is full of children and other dogs. The only people driving around here live here. About this sitter: We are a very active and loving family and treat your pet the same way we treat our pets. Your fur baby can hang out on our furniture and sleep in our beds, if that is what you allow at your home. We don't want to start any bad habits, so if you will be clear on the rules at your home, we will make sure they are followed in our home. Our goal is to make your trip less stressful by giving your fur baby a safe and comfortable place to stay on their "stay-cation". I work from home and am home most of the time. If I need to leave, the dogs go in their crates. We did allow one little guy to stay out of his crate and he did some damage to our home. If you are set on not placing your dog in a crate, we will agree to leave him outside in our fenced yard. Why I love dog sitting Everyone in my family has been dog lovers their whole lives. We have always had dogs. We prefer to have more than one dog at a time, so they keep each other company. I have owned a variety of sizes and temperments over the years, so I am no stranger to the shy one, or the one that can have a bad moment. We all have those days. Meet my pets We have a rabbit, carrott, who stays in his cage. He provides lots of entertainment for any dog who comes to visit. About my yard We have a large fenced backyard, full of grass. It connects from our back door and walk out deck - and our guests just love this! My experience administering medication Yes, we can administer any type of meds necessary. I have also had to give shots to my dogs before, so when I say this is not an issue, I truly mean it.

We've been with Deanna for a year now and as always, a great experience! We call her Charlie's "Other Family ". It makes it easier to drop him off with someone who loves what she does and also sends me picture updates to see how he's doing as opposed to a kennel.
Deanna and Dan took great care of Lily. I appreciate the photo updates each day.
Deanna & her husband are super flexible with pick up and drop off times and that is so GREAT! Also, my dog has stayed with them several times now, and I feel that they truly care for him.

I would like to know if your pet has aggression issues. Since I also have pets in this home, we need to make sure my dogs are safe. We would also like to know if your pet is fully house trained. We are not one to panic if there is an accident on the carpet, but we want to know how much we need to keep your pet in our sights, versus letting them be more independent and explore. We would also like to know if your pet has a chewing issue. This is not a deal breaker, we just want to know so we can give them more attention and distractions to protect our furniture. We cannot host stays for male dogs who have not been fixed. It causes our male to be overly protective and territorial. We have no breed preferences. We love them all.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We will walk your dog in our yard, front and back. We also like to walk them up and down our street. There is a sidewalk. There are also other dogs walking around, so there is lots of opportunity for interaction with other dogs and little time for boredom. Your dog's sleeping arrangement This depends on where your dog is used to sleeping. Our dogs sleep with my children in their rooms, sometimes on the bed, sometimes in the chair. Your dog is free to sleep where they are comfortable sleeping. I find when we watch dogs, the dog usually dictates where they want to sleep, and we allow that. If you have a preference, please let me know so we don't instill any bad habits while you are away. Time I'll spend with your dog I mostly work from home, so I allow all dogs to have free access to the home when I'm here. There are times when I need to make sales calls, but on those days, its generally only for a few hours.
