I have lived with dogs my whole life. They are not pets - they are part of the family!

Dogs adapt well, but who wants to be tossed out of their comfort zone if they don't have to? Your pup will be cozy and safe in the space they know - home.

I have fostered dogs and cats for many years and greatly enjoy interacting with them all! I have taught dogs how to climb stairs, trust people, and basic skills (sit, lie down, wait, fetch, etc).

I am a Certified EMT (for people) but also can do doggie First Aid!

The dog I grew up with was a wonderful Shepherd mix. He was a year older than me, and my parents adopted him before I was born. Hoka helped raise me and was my best friend until he passed when I was 13.

After Hoka passed, we adopted Honey - another Shepherd mix. She was only about 40lbs and honey colored (surprise! :-) ) She was no spring chicken when we adopted her and sadly we lost her only a few years later.

After I left the home, I didn't have a dog for a few years - but my mom had a super-friendly Poodle. Tara spent many hours keeping my grandmother company, and when I visited home, it was a treat to accompany my grandfather on his long Tara walks.

Over the years, I have fostered many dogs and cats. I love helping these lovely creatures find their forever homes. It is a delight to match a new family with one of my fosters.

I adopted Alyosha, an energetic Border Collie mix, 12 years ago. He is now 13+ and still very bouncy!

Alyosha and I have done many trainings - we both learned a ton!

Working with the foster animals and growing up with dogs has left me with a core belief in the need for our animal friends in our lives.

No breed preferences - I love them all!

I have a 2006 Scion hatchback. My dog and I go to the dog park regularly! The car is reliable and very dog friendly.

Yes. I have administer medication to both cats and dogs, including diabetic injections.
