I have always loved animals in general and find dogs and dog evolution pretty fascinating. We owned dogs throughout my childhood, but going through college and then graduate school and recently traveling to SE Asia for a year, my home base has not been stable enough to have one of my own yet. I plan to be settled in Portland for at least a few years, so perhaps this will change soon! I'm very athletic and love the outdoors with a passion, so having a walking or running partner adds to my enjoyment of being with dogs. I have an extensive knowledge of dog breeds and love trying to guess which breeds mutts are mixed with when I first meet dogs.

I'd like to know if they have any special needs or if you have preferences about their exercise schedule. I'd like to know about their behavior and if there are any problems in that arena.
Personally, I really love large and giant dog breeds, but I don't discriminate and will love your lap dog as well!

I don't have a car and I get around on bike, but would most likely be able to borrow my roommate's car in the event of an emergency.

As much time as possible! I only work part time in the summers, so am currently free most days to hang out and go on hikes with your dog!
