Ashleigh S. - A dog's bestfriend!

I am a 20 year old female. I love dogs and have had many dogs over the years. I currently have a Corgi. I love to play with and pamper any pooch that comes my way. I have also had experience with shy dogs.

I have been a dog lover all my life. I have had a total of 10 dogs (and 3 cats!) through out my life. I generally adopt all my dogs from shelters. The last dog I adopted was a Border Collie mix. He had a severe case of seperation anxiety and was also very shy. I brought him out of his shell over time. It took lots of time but I never gave up on him. I try to take my dogs with me everywhere I go. Even dogs have to get out of the house sometimes!

I would like to know any schedules that have to be followed. I also would like to know if they are shy around new people. I don't mind dog sitting shy dogs, I would just like to have advance notice and would like a few meetings with the dog and his/her owners so that when it's just me, the dog is more comfortable with me.

I would love to spend as much time as possible with your dog. Dogs with severe seperation anxiety, I have found, need to someone to be with them almost all day. Other dogs I would like to spend at least 5-12 hours a day with them.
