I live in NLV, near Tropical & Revere.
I am a life-long dog lover, and currently have an impossibly wonderful Yellow Lab.
I have also owned a Boxer, a Dalmation, a Pekingese, a Manchester Terrier & a Rhodesian Ridgeback over the years.
I am a free-lance writer, so I am at home most of time. Your dog will rarely be left alone.
My dog is an indoor dog, however has free access to our huge, fenced back yard, also.
My dogs are family members, and yours will be, also. I will care for your beloved friend(s) as per your instructions, and love on them as much as they would like.
You are welcome to bring anything that will make your dog more comfortable here, such as a bed, special toys, etc. If you kennel your dog at night, I will do that, also.
I have extensive knowledge in all breeds of dogs due to having done a great deal of research for articles, etc, & among my family of 6 grown children, is my eldest son, who has trained both service dogs, and Rottweilers for protection and family pets.
You can leave your four footed friend with me, resting in the fact that he/she will be kept happy & healthy.
I charge a bit more for 'high-needs' dogs, & offer discounts for extended stays.
Thank you for considering choosing me to care for your dear dog. Angela <><
I love all animals, & over the years, raising 7 children we have had just about every cuddly or creepy pet you can imagine. We have also fostered several dogs, who were lost, that we couldn't locate owners for. We always kept them until we found the best home we could for them. Our best 'success story' with fostered dogs was a wonderful Basset Hound, who we called 'Howlie Long.' After several interviews with prospective adoptive families, we finally placed him with the owner of a doggie boutique, where he spent his days with her. He was even featured in their T.V. commercials!
I also served over 2 years in a wildlife rescue foundation. We were brought injured or orphaned animals by Fish & Game officials, the National Audubon Society, & etc. I learned to prepare the diverse meals our residents required, assist in minor surgeries, and provide daily care in a variety of ways for all of our animals. Once, we had a Bald Eagle who had been accidentally shot, and I will never forget the tremendous feeling of watching him being released back into the wild after his recuperation in our care.
I will care for your dogs just as you would, & am even willing to consider coming to your home, if that is better for you.
I have loved dogs all my life, and have experience with many different breeds, both of my own, and those of my friends and families. I have often dog-sat for people who were out of town, and also on the evening of July 4th, with a lab/shepherd mix who gets a bit too excited during all the commotion!
All breeds are welcome, however I will require their current rabies tag to be on their collar, & prefer to know your vet of choice. I have a 12 year old daughter, who has an innate ability to bond with just about every animal she meets, especially horses & dogs. Your furry friend would rarely, if ever, be w/o someone to love on him/her.
Yes, I have a very reliable, fully insured car, and am home most of the day, due to being a free-lance writer. Unless you specify otherwise, emergencies would be cared for at the Ann Road Animal Hospital, which is 5 minutes from my home.
Yes, I have experience in caring for a variety of animals who needed special care, & am comfortable caring for any special needs your dog may have.
I work from home, so your dog would very rarely be alone. I am also open to caring for your dog in your home, so we could discuss how much time each day you would like spent with your dog, walked, ect. I could even take my laptop to your home, and work there a bit throughout the day, so as to spend more time with your dog.
My back yard is aprx 80 x 100 sq. ft., and is fully fenced. I also have a large, professionally installed, outdoor kennel, which is aprx. 6 x 8 ft, should you have a dog who is used to being kenneled, or enjoys his 'private area.' As long as your dog is house trained, he/she is certainly going to be spending most of the time in our home, with free access to the backyard.
I will follow your dog's normal routine as much as I possibly can. You will need to write out his/her feeding and sleeping schedule, & I will adhere to your instructions. Please bring anything that will make your dog feel as comfortable as possible, such as bedding, ect. I will also need a leash for walks, and a harness if you usually use one.
We are surrounded by several parks, many of which have dog parks included. We frequent the Aliante Nature Discovery Park, however are willing to take your dog to his favorite park, within reason.

Jasper is the typical, happy-go-lucky yellow lab. He loves everyone, and thinks any new dog is just a new friend.
He is extremely well trained & very obedient.
He is trained well beyond the basic commands, and I am certain we are no where near his capacity to learn much, much more.
As I write this, Jasper is laying next to his bed, so our current guest, a chocolate lab, may use the bed. Isn't he a wonderful host?
