Lucy is a well behaved people loving joyful rescue dog with a huge heart. Very obedient and smart enjoys being around people, showing off her tricks and really loves a challenge. We go for daily walks and bike rides several times a week. She is really great on leash, and has built strong resiliency to all the scary things alot of dogs are afraid of. She climbs trees and absolutely loves swimming. She does have a prey drive and loves chasing cats and squirrels. She is also a garden helper as she also catches and eats flying bugs and ground critters if they come around. She can be a picky eater and is modest about going to the bathroom or eating in unfamiliar environments or around new people. She warms up nicely with wet kisses and cuddling to anyone who shows her a smidgen of kindness! Lucy can be dog selective but she offers good manners and does well with familiar dogs. She is very aware of her space and reactive at times, but we are working with other dogs and trainers to socialize her in a positive way, as she has some fear as a result of a negative dog park incident. She takes well to people and loves kids to the max and is a great dog that has stolen my heart and furthered my passion for working with easy and difficult dogs from all walks of life.
