I have extensive experience with dogs and cats! I started as a full-time dog walker / hiker and did that for about 2.5 years in Boston, Cambridge, and Los Angeles. I then worked as the supervisor of a dog rescue and boarding facility in Santa Paula, CA for 1 year. During this time I’ve worked with many different positive reinforcement trainers and have also apprenticed as a trainer for several dog training courses! I currently live in a camper van with my partner and or dog and cat so that we have the ability to travel more and leave a smaller footprint on the earth. I’m able to stay in your home with your pets or do walks or training sessions. I have experience with dog sitting for rover and other clients through professional dog walking services! I’m also experienced with cats, birds, chickens, and fish. I have experience working with all temperaments of dogs and cats. I’m also working on learning energy healing for animals as well! Why I love pet sitting: I love animals and truly enjoy working with and helping them! Dog sitting is great for me because I get to play and spend time with amazing animals all day! Also if your dog likes other dogs, he could socialize them with my pup, Beau! My experience administering medication: I am comfortable giving pills, topical medication including soaks, warm compress, creams etc. I’m also comfortable administering shots and have administered to both cats and dogs regularly. I have great experience with many different medical conditions and emergency situations including bloat, rattlesnake bite, dog on dog attacks, dog on human attacks, after surgery care, eye ointments, skin rashes, you name it! Having worked for a rescue, I’ve truly seen it all.

I've had the pleasure of working alongside Alyse in various capacities and she is very gifted with animals! She's been the supervisor of a large rescue and dealt with dogs of all temperaments quite successfully. She has a calm caring way about her and is skilled in reading dog body language. She is comfortable with animals of a variety of sizes and has a wide range of care skills. Alyse is calm under pressure and stress, which I believe to be especially important for animal care. Above all, Alyse is very trustworthy and animals love her!
Alyse was a fantastic sitter, consistently updating me on Louis and sharing pictures from their outings (walks, trips to the dog park, hanging out on the couch etc.). This definitely put me at ease and I know Louis had a great time with her because he was so sad to leave when it came time to pick him up. Louis did have a little accident in his crate during his stay (our usual routine is taking him very first thing in the morning), but I really appreciated that Alyse was honest about it and let me know right away. Overall, I felt very comfortable leaving Louis with Alyse and would certainly recommend her to friends and will be using her services again myself.
Alyse was great and I could tell that my dog was very comfortable with her during her stay. The entire process was seamless and could not have gone better! I would definitely recommend her!

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks: Neighborhood walks if that’s what your pup likes. If they like more rigorous walks, I’d also do hikes in the nearby Ventura park trails and the beach! I’m open to dog parks as long as your dog has experience there. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: Wherever you prefer! Time I'll spend with your dog: Pretty much all day besides leaving to get groceries or run errands. I wouldn’t leave your animal for more than 2 hours.
