I will come to your home for pet sitting, walking, feeding and care while you are convalescing, working or on vacation. I will negotiate a fair daily rate based on the number of pets receiving care, distance and the length of the assignment.
I have been a pet owner for 25 years. I worked in a kennel, have been a pet sitter and have experience as a dog walker in an animal rescue. Many of my own pets became elderly and required medications or special treatments, so I am comfortable giving medications.
I have taken care of my own dogs and cats for over 20 years and during the last 15 years I have had paid and non-paid experience walking pets, brushing pets in an animal rescue and pet sitting.
I have no breed preference and can adapt easily to dogs after meeting them briefly. For dogs with behavioral issues, I like to meet them a few times before entering the house alone.
I have my own reliable transportation and access to a back up vehicle in the unlikely event my car isn't working.
I am comfortable administering medication to dogs and cats. I have given subcutaneous and intramuscular shots to my own pets in the past.
I am willing to do whatever is needed in your absence. I like to use a checklist to make sure that we avoid any communication mishaps. If there are any special requests I can consider accommodating something that isn't included (above) in the list.
This will be individualized based on the needs and desires of the pet owner. For instance, if I am coming to someone's home to walk a pet while they are at work, I would spend some time socializing with the dog and walk it for the allotted time (15 min, 30 min, 45 min or 60 min).
In a situation a situation where the pet owner is out of town, we would sit down and discuss this in advance based on the age, eating schedule, preferences and habits of the pet; along with medication schedules if this applies. Some pets need more frequent visits throughout the day that may be shorter in length and some pets may a few long visits during the day. This is really dictated by the owners preferences.

Ernie was one of 9 pups in a litter birthed by a Golden Retriever at the ASPCA on Falls Rd. Sadly, he had no hip connections had to have two major surgeries in his first year. He shouldn't do jumping or have weight on his hips. He has some arthritis in his spine also.He taught me a lot about getting through difficult times and being appreciative. He loves walks, snuggling and recently began playing with the hula hoop. He has a wonderful personality and enjoys most cats-usually plays with ours and tries to chase neighbor cats. He likes to play in the yard with my daughter and her friends. He is also protective and doesn't do well around male dogs or loose dogs on walks (we have both been hurt by loose dogs).
