Make Our Home Your New Barking Lot!

Pet care experience

Hi all! Please make sure to check our calendar for our availability! We're both going to be working from home for the time being, but do travel a lot ourselves. :) We also offer daytime boarding as well, but be advised that there may be a surcharge (extended stay rate) for very early pickups or very late drop-offs outside of the usual 8am-6pm or stays well beyond 24 hours. We give our pups lots of love and attention, and ask for respect from owners in return! With that in mind, please be respectful when it comes down to agreed upon pickup/drop-off times. Now, on to the goods. We have a home in North Park with our pup Kimmy Kibbler, a lab mix who loves everyone and everything. Our yard is mostly hardscape these days - outside entertaining is our thing! - but has been the site of many a zoom-zoom by Kimmy and her furry friends. The neighborhood itself has all kinds of green space. We're happy to welcome all dog breeds who are dog friendly, but do require a meet 'n greet with our pup prior to booking. That may mean last-minute requests can get tricky, unless you're willing to meet us ahead of a fast-approaching visit. We just want to make sure we're a good fit for you and vice versa, and that our doggies get along. We do require that your pup is completely housebroken, with no puppy pads. (Please be honest here. We've had "housebroken" pups prove they weren't on meet 'n greets, so the truth will come out!) That all said, we're looking forward to taking good care of your furry friends, and our pooch is so looking forward to meeting them, too. No, really, she is! We asked. Why I love dog sitting I've always been a dog lover, even working as an editor for Tails Pet Magazine for a while so that I'd have an excuse to attend things like dog weddings (true story!), pet shows, and adoption events through the city's pet rescues. Unfortunately, my mom didn't allow pets in the house growing up, so the fact that my husband came with a dog was certainly an added bonus. We were the proud parents of a gentle giant Labradoodle named Baxter. It took us a while to become ready to add to our family again after Baxter passed away, but we now have a pup named Kimmy. She's a mutt of various large dog breeds, but it seems like she's maxed out on the growing thing at about 60 lbs. of non-stop party-time energy. About my yard We have a small backyard that your pup can run around or sunbathe in. Kimmy's favorite pastime, in fact, is laying in the sun out there as we grill or prune the citrus tress. Our neighborhood is very pet friendly, too, with lots of green space to explore. For ambitious dogs, Trolley Barn Park is about a mile's walk away. My experience administering medication All you need to do is let us know what they need and how often they need it, and we'll be sure to make that happen. We've had pups over with varied special needs.

Stanley had another great visit with Agnes! He cries with excitement when we pull up to her house! I appreciate all of the photos and text updates during my puppy’s visit. Agnes is readily available and prompt with communication which is a bonus!

Agnes was an amazing rover for our goldendoodle, Charley! She and her husband were very accommodating and dependable, especially during the Christmas holiday and took our dog on many outdoor adventures so she could run her zoomies out. Their sweet pup Kimmy was easy for our pup to get along with and became a great playmate for our pup. Agnes sent a ton of updates with pictures of our dog and responded in a very timely manner. Highly recommend Agnes if you are looking for a a phenomenal sitter for your pup!

Information Agnes G. would like to know about your pet

We would like to know that your dog is house-trained, has any particular food issues, is comfortable around other dogs and people, is allowed at dog parks, is leash aggressive, or has any health problems that we should be aware of. We want to make sure your pup's stay is stress-free! We'd also like to know whether they're allowed treats. :) As far as specific breeds, we love all dog breeds. My husband is partial to large dog breeds, though, while I'm a fan of what I like to call "scrappy-dos" and Frenchies.

A typical day

Your pooch will be taken on plenty of walks around the neighborhood. We're lucky enough to live near several dog parks, as well, so let us know if your pups are dog park friendly. With owner approval, we've also taken pups to the beach, to local dog-friendly eateries, on hikes, and to watch the annual dog surfing competition! It's really up to you as far what your pup is allowed to do with us.
