Part time student/full time pet lover willing to travel to pet sit dogs, cats, or any other kind of animal. Doesn't mind training or cleaning up messes. Experience with administering oral medicine. Loves long walks (will be more than happy to walk your energetic dog for hours). Available all nights of the week and Sun-Weds during the day.
15 years living with dogs (feeding, walking, administering medicine, cleaning up messes of all sorts); experience pet sitting dogs and cats and small animals; prior training in pet first aid, keeps a copy of The Humane Society's Pet First Aid Dogs & Cats book on hand.
We got my first dog, Snowy (bichon frise/maltese mix), when I was 5 years old. I used to push her around the house in my baby doll stroller. When I was 8, I begged my mom for another dog and she finally agreed. We adopted Oreo (shih tzu/poodle mix), the love of my life.
I finally got the chance to live with a big dog when my roommate adopted a pitbull mix from the humane society last year. As she was usually out of the house, I took on most of the responsibility of caring for her and feeding her.
I'm the kind of person that will go to a gathering and make friends with the dogs or stop you on the street to tell you how beautiful your dog is.
I would like to know age, personality traits/behavioral issues, size, and medical conditions (just to be prepared). No breed preferences. Grew up with small dogs, but love dogs of all sizes.
Yes, I do.
I've been administering oral medication to my dogs for years, so I'm very comfortable in that. Also willing to learn how to administer other types of medication.
It would be my pleasure to help!
As much time as you/your dog(s) need. I'm unavailable during the day Thursdays-Saturdays, but am free Sundays-Weds and all evenings.
