How do I change my profile or status from a sitter to an owner?

I enrolled as a sitter but I am an owner and have booked a few sitters already. However, I believe being enrolled as a sitter is making it hard for me to use the site. I would like to change my status so I could take full advantage of the http://Rover.com features as an owner.

It shouldn't have any bearing on your ability to use the site as a pet owner. Moreover, you haven't explained how or what problems you are encountering that you believe are due to being a sitter.

If you go to your Profile, you will see a link to "I no longer want to provide services on Rover" at the very bottom of the list for Managing Your Business

https://www.rover.com/provider-profile/

However, before you do so I would discuss the situation with Rover Customer Support ([Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]) because you may want to return to being a sitter and they should be able to explain that there are no issues from being a sitter who is also a pet owner using the site. I once had to hire someone and didn't have any problems and I am sure there are others who have also.
