Will Rover ever add a tipping option?

Before when I asked this question all people said was "well Uber doesn't have one, blahblahblah", but now that Uber has a tipping option, why not Rover?

Most of my clients are happy with my service and want to tip but hardly carry around cash. I get tips when they remember that Rover doesn't have that option built into it.

So, where is it Rover? Please add one.

For real though

BTW, I'm one of those who agree with you that getting tips is quite nice and no different from what is normal in other parts of the service sector.

Especially since Rover takes a hefty 20%.

totally agree...ridiculous no tip option... Uber has it so does Uber eats etc... given our fees do not include the free meet n greets or travel...and they take 20% they can at least add a tipping opt

Seems doubtful, given Rover's advice in the Help section:

Booking a dog sitter through Rover will always be cashless and convenient. Your sitter sets their own rates and your credit card is debited when you book, so there’s no need to tip. That said, if you’d like to offer them a tip, you’re perfectly welcome to. Just know that it’s never expected or required.

Want to show your sitter how much you appreciate them? Leave them a review on Rover. Reviews are easy to write and help sitters grow their pet-sitting business.

It is nice to feel appreciated with a tip or gift & that client is more likely to get booked. I take excellent care of my client's doggies...a lot of love, attention, walks, photos, videos, some of them sleep in my bed plus a very pet friendly home with a secure big back yard & nice covered patio!
