“Ingyin was amazing, professional and so loving to our Theo. If ever in need of a dog sitter in The City again - we will definitely reserve time with Ingyin. She sent us videos and pics to make hs feel at ease. Our Theo has separation anxiety but didnt even cry when we left him with Ingyin- good sign! Dogs lnow people! Definitely 5 stars!”
2. Yijie W.
“Yijie was great and Sophie definitely enjoyed her time with her. I received daily updates and she was very communicative and prompt in communications. Highly recommended her and Sophie will definitely be back!”
3. Gabrielle & Patrick C.
“Gabrielle and Paddy were great. Very friendly, great communication, great photos and updates. Simba seemed to be having a blast. Would recommend.”
4. Sam G.
“Our 83-lb ogre-of-a-dog "Tonka" warmed up to Sam quite quickly at our meet & greet. We also met "Snowy", her dog, who was a ham himself! We were happy to find Sam as our regular Rover dogsitter moved out of SF. During our dog's stay, Sam kept us updated on our dog's activities. It looked like he enjoyed having a backyard, and of course, their walks! Snowy and Tonka were nap buddies in no time, too. We cannot wait for another "play date" with Snowy. Thank you, Sam!”
5. Jamie Y.
“Finding Jamie was a true gift! We were traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday and could not bring our dog along. This was also the first time we'd left him in the care of someone else. Jamie was truly great to work with through every step - she was super responsive to questions, made us feel really comfortable, sent lots of photos & updates, and you can just tell she loves animals and treats them with care and respect. We'll definitely connect with her again!”
6. Derek & Solip "Stella" T.
“Derek & Solip watched one of my dogs, Kora, and did an excellent job! They sent regular photos and updates, made Kora feel at home, and it looked like their little pup got along well with Kora. I think it helped that we did a meet and greet at their place beforehand so Kora could get familiar. When we went to drop Kora off, she was already excited to see them and go into their home.”
7. Jocelyn C.
“Jocelyn was great! She was communicative and flexible. She sent great pics to let us know he was doing well. Not to mention - he came home clean! The complimentary bath (and even harness/leash washing) she gave him was amazing. We’ll definitely book with her again!”
8. Liubov M.
“Liubov took great care of my pup Charlie. She sent frequent updates with pictures, in which my pup looked very happy and comfortable. She was confident in giving my dog her required meds and managing her reactive behaviors. She was flexible and prompt with meet up times.”
9. Kevin & Kayla K.
“Kevin and Kayla were great! We went on a three week vacation, the longest we’ve had to leave Penny with a sitter. But it seemed like Penny forgot all about us based on the pictures they sent :). That made us feel a lot better knowing that she wasn’t as sad as we thought she’d be and in very good hands. Kevin and Kayla were both very communicative and sent us lots of updates and pictures, which any pet parent would appreciate. I would highly recommend!”
10. Cristina & Christopher V.
“Cristina and Christopher took amazing care of my pup! Cristina happily met up with us before the stay so we could have my dog meet her adorable, chill dog, Kopper, and go over basic care/questions for my dog. She handled my dog’s pulling on the leash no problem and took him for walks to the multiple local parks and his favorite dog park. She was easy to communicate with - appreciated the daily updates on how things were going. Definitely recommend their care if you’re headed out of town!”
11. Brandon J.
“Brandon is always great!! He is accommodating with drop off/pick up times and flexible when something goes wrong - this time when our flight was delayed. He sends regular updates and photos eliminating any stress about how our dog is doing. And she always looks great during his care. Highly recommend Brandon!”
12. Niriha & Siddharth K.
“Niriha was wonderful when we stayed in San Francisco on a long road trip and wanted a couple of days to explore human-only spaces. I was very nervous, having never used this service before, but Niriha was good with our dog right away, and the pup (and I) were immediately comfortable. Niriha sent us regular photo updates (of awesome quality, by the way!) that let us know our dog was being loved on and tended to well.”
13. St. John B.
“Loki had a great time with St John and his dog. I received photo updates everyday and I could tell he was having a great time and was well taken care of. Will use his services again in the future!”
14. Shruti D.
“Shruti was very friendly and communicative while we were away for a weekend. I would definitely ask her to watch Luna again. Luna definitely appreciated all the work hangouts as well as sun bathing in the patio!”
15. Ashma B.
“Ashma always takes great care of my pup Tofu. She sent pictures daily and my little guy always looked so happy. I will definitely rebook soon!”
16. Amanda B.
“Amanda took great care of our Wheelie. We especially appreciate how Amanda kept Wheelie on her special kidney diet, even when Wheels gave her The Glare of Death. 😂 Her happy yet calm demeanor upon return let us know that our little monster enjoyed her spend-the-night party at Amanda’s. Thanks Amanda!!”
17. Jessica G.
“Jessica was great. She sent lots of pictures of their adventures in the city while I was gone. My dog had a great time.”
18. Justin A.
“Justin is a great guy and a great dog sitter. He welcomed Ghost in with open arms and made sure that I brought items to help my anxious, big boy comfortably settle in. Justin sent daily pictures and updates on how Ghost was doing. When Justin realized that I was taking Ghost home on public transit, he not only bagged Ghost’s items for me - he vacuume-packed the bedding for easier carrying! Thanks so much Justin. You are definitely our #1 choice!”
19. Bruce P.
“Bruce was amazing...he updated me daily on how Delilah was doing. He sent pictures throughout the whole stay and made us very comfortable leaving her with him for the long weekend. I will absolutely use Bruce again! Thank you Bruce!”
20. Lynn S.
“Jackie had a lovely stay with Lynn. She’s super caring and sends great photos, especially of play dates in the park. Jackie is looking forward to her next stay”

What makes San Francisco a great city for dog owners?
Whether you call it SF, The City by the Bay, or just San Francisco, there's something about this city that dog owners love to call home. With all of the amazing parks and ocean views, it's no wonder so many pet parents enjoy living here, and there are plenty of loving Rover dog sitters in the city who'd love to spend some time with their pups. When visitors are in town, San Francisco dog owners love showing off landmarks like Alcatraz and Lombard Street or popping down to Pier 39 for some trendy eats.
Which San Francisco parks should I visit with my dog?
Looking for a place to blow off some steam with your pup? San Francisco has some truly incredible dog parks. Bernal Heights Dog Park is a scenic 35-acre, off-leash dog park that provides amazing panoramic views of the city. Fort Funston Dog Park is a fun place to visit, but keep in mind it's also frequented by horseback riders, gliders, and bicyclists. This next park is notable for being a resting place for hundreds of species of migrating birds, which is reason enough to visit! It's Pine Lake Dog Park, and it's also full of great hiking trails and a dedicated off-leash section of the park for your dog. Located in the Diamond Heights neighborhood, Glen Canyon Dog Park is 35 acres of beautiful wooded trails and canyons. For the ultimate in dog-friendly recreation, be sure to check out Duboce Dog Park. Dog walkers love this park, and there's even an annual DogFest held there to celebrate man's best friend.
Which neighborhoods in San Francisco are good for dog owners?
Alamo Square features Victorian architecture, including the iconic painted ladies homes seen in many depictions of the city. Balboa Park, sometimes referred to as Mission Terrace, Cayuga, or Ingleside, includes the soccer-specific Boxer Stadium. In Eureka Valley, there's The Castro, where you'll find rich cultural history in Harvey Milk Plaza, and slightly up the hill, the Pink Triangle Park on 17th Street at Market. Established in 1848, San Francisco's Chinatown draws more tourists each year than the Golden Gate Bridge. Ready to catch a show? Check out the Fillmore Auditorium, or wake up early and browse the year-round farmers market with your pup at Fillmore Center Plaza. There's plenty to see and do in Fisherman's Wharf, including visit the Cannery Shopping Center, Ghirardelli Square, and Ripley's Believe It or Not museum. You can catch great views and hike plenty of hills in the parks around Golden Gate Heights. There are over 2,500 stairs and 14 blocks of steps in the neighborhood! Plus, see the famous The Red Victorian hotel in Haight-Ashbury, and the annual Haight-Ashbury Street Fair in June.
